If you want it, do it for you...not to show them you have the balls to do it. I had my ears and bellybutton done
If thats what you want to do, that's cool, do it

I have my nipples pierced, my eyebrow, ears gauged
and my arm (wrist area). Did it hurt, no. But the piercing is hard to keep, so you have to make sure that you go to a really experienced place, Warrior Piercing if you live in PA
This piercing is odd, because if has a tendency to catch on wool sweaters when yo first get it. You learn how to avoid it being hit, and as long as you keep 'safe' for a few months it probably won't reject.
Just don't play with it

Surface piercings are not always wise or healthy. And finding a highly skilled and professional piercer who is fully capable and trained to do surface piercings will be close to finding a needle in a hay-stack. I love the process and don't mind how they look, but too many of them get screwed up and too many people have horrible scars from it.
They generally reject, cause bad scarring and infect very easily. I've had nothing but bad experiences with surface and 'play' piercings, so based on where I've been and what I documented, I suggest you try a more gentle piercing (such as navel, lip, nose, ear cartilage).

Not to rain on your parade, but you are looking at an overall success rate of about 5%
I have a lot of piercings, 26 to be exact and work as a professional piercer.
My piercings are:
6 navel at 14g
4 nipple(horizontal and vertical) both at 12g
3 per ear lobe(6 total) at 00g, 2g and 6g
2 upper cartilage at 14g (for an orbital)
nostril at 16g
septum at 12g
2 labia majora at 10g
lip at 14g
diath at 14g
tragus at 14g
conch at 14g
monroe at 14g

I imagine that you could get an arm piercing caught on something fairly easy, but I really have never heard of such a thing

I'm having trouble imagining where on your arm you'd get a piercing, but.....if you want it, go for it. I have 3 piercings in each ear lobe, but that's it.

Hummm, your arm? Where on the arm? I have the webbing between my thumb and index finger pierced, and I've had no problems with it. I've had it for like 6 years now

I think it's disgusting. I have a single hole in each ear, but my friend has nine piercings (all in her ears) and is waiting to get a small stud in her nose and a small stud in her eyebrow.
