try writing down what it is that you do not like and then ask youself wich ones can you put up with and wich ones really need changing then it takes a real contious commitment to not do the thing your avoiding but set realistic goals or you will set yourself up for failure and thats depressing

Break the things you want to change into smaller parts and make specific goals. Next write down how you can incorporate a small change immediately within your life. Then write down what obstacles you may face making this change so that you are aware of what is causing you to slip back into old habits. Don't beat yourself up if you fail once in a while, just simply get yourself back on track. It is like training for a marathon--you wouldn't try running 5 miles the first day you decided to race, so keep the goals simple and manageable.

I think it is confidence that can change a person. I'm not talking about confidence to talk to a girl, but confidence to reach your goal. You could find something that you believe you have no chance and take a shot at it.
From my personal experience, my goal is very high and it takes long time to achieve that goal and I won't have trouble finding new goal when I get there.
I never thought myself as a fat person, I wasn't, but one day I looked at a picture of myself and I did not like it. I thought I could lose several pounds. I did that within 6months. My confidence was up. During that time I try to go back to school, which I did and I'm about to graduate. For some reason I look forward to changes and whatever I have face in the future, I will deal with it. I constantly criticize myself and try to change those aspects of my personalities and traits.
I'm not saying what I'm doing is right, is it? I don't know, but I just have certain confidence in myself and believe that I can constantly change as I age.

first of all what is it that you dont like because you can say that you dont like yourself, all the time but what really matters is that you be very logical and reasonable.
for example: your quick tempered... go to anger management.
you have a body odor: try different products that work
you hate your hair color then change it
but really you need to post what it is that you dont like and then maybe i can help ytou to figure it out
