I don't know it's retarded. It's just the same as any man and woman of any color. I don't know why Hollywood won't accept that but they can accept paying Jennifer Lopez 20 million dollars per movie. Ridiculous

Interesting question. There must be SOME Hollywood movies that have a love scene with a black man/white woman, but I can't think of one either. You could be right about a southern boycott but any actors worth anything would not have such issues. My guess is that, since Hollywood panders to the largest number of people possible with each movie it puts out so it will make the most profit, Hollywood must think no profit potential in a movie like that. Which is funny, because I wouldn't think Brokeback Mountain would appeal to a large segment of society, but it made lots of money and won Academy Awards. You would think that making a movie with love scenes between two men would be a greater box office risk than a love scene between a black man and a white woman. Go figure.
Actually, come to think of it, although the scene isn't shown, To Kill a Mockingbird concerns this issue - a black man accused of a love relationship with a white woman. Ironically, it's the white woman making the accusation, which turned out to be a lie.

Look closer. There are a lot of movies out with Black men and white women (or damn close to it) out there. I just saw Out of Time and Denzel was married to Eva Mendes but sneaking around with Sanaa Lathan.
I think the people who finance the movies are uncomfortable with Black men/white women relationships, and that is why there are not as many movies made like this in Hollywood. On the other hand, I think these same people fantasize about being with a Black woman, so they are cool with putting out a film with White men/Black women (example Sanaa Lathan and Simon Baker, Something New - good film also).
But I don't care. A good LOVE story is a good LOVE story I would pay to watch -- Skin color of the actors is of no concern to me.

Far From Heaven (2002), with Julianne Moore, Dennis Quaid, and Dennis Haysbert, deals not only with a black man/white woman relationship, but also with a family man coming out of the closet. The film is set in the 1950s, upper-middle white class community in Connecticut. You can argue that the interracial relationship doesn't actually exist, but the chemistry and feelings are there.

This question brings Julia Styles to mind for some reason....
Maybe it just a little Jungle Fever. But you are right there are way fewer scenes with a Black Man and White Woman. Could be that deep down us white men still have a stigma about that.

You know I've never really thought about that but you have a really good point! It's always black woman and white man! Remember in The Body Guard....Whitney and Kevin....black woman white man! I don't think it would be so much as boycotted by the south in general but by people who aren't accepting it with the rest of the world!

You must be young...remember Mandingo? Jungle Fever?
there are more....daytime soap operas....night-time dramas too.
But I remember when these movies came out black women did not like to see black men with white women...as the myth goes that white women are stealing thier black men away...also movie stars like Diane Carrol, Diana Ross, O.J.(sorry) Quincy Jones, Bob Marley, Montel and many more...in the hollywood scenes were and are with white people "light skinned black women or mixed b/w are more often chosen for these hollywood movies as they are sometimes regarded as very beautiful and appealing to black and white men...Crazy I know...remember Waiting to exhale" famous scene where the woman burns her mans clothes because he left the black woman for a white woman....not very nice and it stirs up bitter feelings for black women. The history behind this is too long to explain. But yes there are famous movie stars who in movies and in real life have and or are black men married to white women.Sorry about the long explanation...Please rent the most famous of them all..
GUESS WHO"S COMING TO DINNER"" done in the 1960's when it was so taboo to have interacial relationships. Incidently Sidney Potier was married to a white woman back then too.(famous black actor)

The reason why you see more white men with black women (or women of any other race) then you see with Black men (or men of any other race besides white) with white women is because Hollywood is still mostly ran by white men.
and so when they show interracial relationships it usually from a white male perspective

Love scenes meaning sex scenes? Have you seen the movie "O"? There's a sex scene in there with a black man and white woman.
I live in the south, and I don't really care. I'm white and happen to love black guys... But I love all guys. Hotness knows no color.
