In most cases the house is sold then the monies are split down the middle some couples allow there spouse to get a second mortgage and buy out the other that way one of them keeps the house if they can afford the payments. Selling the house will probably be the easiest and the memories can be left behind.

which ever way, if the you split 1/2 & 1/2 or you give the house to her. she would have to take your name off the deed and mortgage cuz if she does not pay the mortgage is your credit that will get ruin. if is 1/2 & 1/2 so an appraisal and split the profit 1/2 & 1/2 after realtors fees, repairs ect. and make sure that the amount is put on the divorce decree, that way she can never come back and ask for more money.

anything that was his before you married is his and anything acquired after marriage you get half of.
