I have this problem too. :)

Either get a water softer system for your house or wipe down the faucet with a dry hand towel every time you use them. I wipe my down when I'm done washing my hands or dishes. It is an extra step but it works.

After you finish cleaning the faucet and handles, wipe it down with a LIGHT coating of vegetable oil. This will repel any water--and lime/rust deposits and give it a nice shine! We don't have a water softener either and we have a lot of iron in our well water. Works for me!
