Colostrum is produced throughout the pregnancy. However, not all women experience any leaking before the birth of their baby. I had 4 babies and did not leak at all during any of the pregnancies. The actual lactation process begins after the baby is born and the placenta is delivered which triggers the hormone needed to begin the milk production. 3-5 days after the baby is born, the regular breast milk comes in.

I started producing colostrum when I was about 25-27 weeks pregnant. She was born at 38 weeks, 4 days. My mature milk came in the second morning after my daughter was born.

I started having colostrum @ 16 weeks pregnant the same time he started kicking(a lot of it, it would run down my leg if i leaned on my boobs with my knee and my boobs were A's now I'm B-C and my son is 5 months)and had baby @ 36 weeks because i developed severe preeclampsia. BP 166/111
IT just depends on the woman.

i began out leaking, wha tI think of became into colostrum, around 25 weeks. That basically lasted approximately 2 weeks. once I had the toddler it became into approximately 3-4 days in the previous the milk got here in. in case you're not sure no remember in case you will have the means to nurse... have formulation and bottles waiting to flow. there is not any longer something greater no longer basic than a hungry toddler, and the pressures of gaining expertise of to breastfeed.
