you should stop slowly. cut out a few feedings a day and give him a bottle of milk or juice instead. keep slowing down until you stop all together. i would stop the feedings at night first it will be the hardest to do but after that its all down hill. good luck .

I stopped breastfeeding my son at 12 weeks. Slowely introduce him to the bottle and I would suggest bottles with the big nipples. Only because the baby will suck differently on a bottle and pacifier than he will you. Bigger nipples will resemble you and they aren't that difficult to latch onto. I would start out with 3 bottles a day and move up to the point where you are only feeding him 3 times a day. It will get easier as time goes on.

You may not be able to stop right away.. It takes a couple of weeks for your milk to dry up... Just wean the baby off. For example... Only breast feed before nap and bed times. Then after a while only at bed time.. Eventually introduce baby to a bottle of water at night after breast feeding... and soonn.. it's just the water..... It took a long time for us but we did it...

Slowly wean one feeding at a time to a bottle/cup. Be patient and work with your child. Don't get frustrated or he/she will read that and the process will be that much worse.
Good luck and congrats for breastfeeding so long!

JUst commit yourself to stop - at 16 months, baby can start on milk. If baby won't take milk right away - pump breast milk and use 75% breast milk and 25% cow's milk to start and reduce %breast milk over time.

get a video featuring plenty of toplessness and add images of freddy krueger. this should make your baby associate boobs with a scary guy who kills you in your dreams, this should stop him /her drinking from there.
although it could cause SERIOUS problems in later life.
if baby's a boy - he wont get a girlfriend out of non-shyness related fear
if baby's a girl - she will fear herself!!
