I do boycott those stores. It completely annoys me that I live in a country whose laws are based on Judeo-Christian values, yet its citizens are bullied by such organizations as the ACLU into denying any such Christian connection. It angers me further that muslim and jewish 'holiday' symbols are considered 'secular' and therefore acceptable in public view, but the cross or crucifix are not. I would not go to a predominantly Islamic country and protest having to hear the 'call to prayer' several times a day, simply because I'm a believer in Christ. I would not go to Namibia and protest their Kwanzaa colours and celebration for the same reason. The problem is not these ethnic groups, however, it is organizations like the ACLU who puff themselves up with arrogance to 'speak on the behalf' of these people (really 'using' them as human political shields) in order to force their radical leftist agenda on the American people.

I do agree with in a way. Aren't the stores contradicting themselves by refusing to say "Christmas", yet all the merchandise they are selling is based on Christmas gift giving. They will sell a nativity scene, but won't acknowledge the significance. Talk about hypocrisy. If we allow this kind of behavior to take place, it will continue and expand to other holidays. People act like it's no big deal, but how many will care when it happens at 4th of July because foreigners are offended by the celebration of America??

in all probability because of fact all yet 2 male fashions interior the worldwide are "Girlie Boys" and that they are too busy to be everywhere suddenly. certainly one of them is a hand form for nail fungus classified ads and the different is often laid low with constipation, irregularity, and EDS. Why do all Madison highway classified ads use generally fashions, male and woman, who look like the only white Ethiopians interior the worldwide? Have they been out from below their rocks these days? Seventy % individuals are fat! Do i decide for to purchase a product that factors its icy finger in my face all day, all year long, going, "Fatty! Fatty! Fatty! na, na, na, naaaa-na" ? Hell no! i might in basic terms as quickly purchase underclothes that i've got in straightforward terms seen on poofy boys, and that may no longer a somewhat photograph.

I really don't care one way or the other. I am not a Christian. I do really enjoy all the Pagan Symbolism of the Christmas Tree, Yule Log, Wreaths and especially the mistletoe. I think you are taking the whole thing way to seriously. Tis the season to be jolly. And many people are celebrating holidays other than Christmas, like me -- Happy Winter Solstice to you -- which is really what you are celebrating anyway as nobody really knows when Jesus was born, if he was born at all.

I really don't care what it says on the front of their stores or in their ads. I think that the person who own the store should decide what it says. Merry Christmas, or Happy Holidays, who cares. People who worry about that kind of crap have way too much time on their hands.

It's not just Christmas, but about 4 other holidays at the same time - Winter Solstice/Yule, Hanukkah, etc. All of these are older than Christmas, and I think it's stupid for people to insist they are greeted with the greeting of THEIR choice. Get over it.

I don't boycott companies over trifling things like that. It is poor marketing to not call a Christmas tree a Christmas tree, but I'm not going to stay away from a store over that!
Baby sister Crissy gave you some good reasons to stay out of WalMart. But even those won't keep me out.

By not putting "Christmas" in their ads they are including everyone and excluding no one. There is nothing offensive about that, except to those who feel threatened by immigration. I AM A TRUE CANADIAN! And there is room for all.

Yes, I do.
I didn't shop at Walmart last year for that reason (and a multitude of others, but that was a biggie!). Same with Lowe's who was offering "Holiday Trees". Pissed me off so I went to Ace Hardware and happily paid more for my items.

I buy what I want from wherever I want. It doesn't matter to me about what sort of "greeting" I am given. It's Christmas. The stores are secondary.
