Pros - radiant heat is prefered by most people as it feels more comfortable than forced air heat.
Cons - No air movement will cause stale air. Todays Building Code requires that a Heat Return Ventilator (HRV) be installed with no forced air system. The HRV is made up of ducts that pulls out stale air and introduces fresh air after passing through a heat exchanger.
It is possible to introduce air movement into an older home just by installing a good quality bathroom fan on the upper most ceiling to exhaust stale air. Fresh air will actually be drawn in from the cracks and voids through the old walls and from around window and door casings.
Do not run it constantly though as it isn't very efficient. Possibly install it on a timer to run every hour. (I suggest a quite fan).

Maybe uneven heat, but doesn't it use steam? If so, you get more moist heat, instead of dry heat. Moist heat is usually better for the body. No need for a humidifier. May help the sinuses as well. Like living in a tropical rainforest. Who needs Costa Rica!
