He would mess up a good team with his selfish play, and nobody wants to coach him because he's a pain in the @ss..."I mean... we talkin' bout practice..." - Remember that one?...When he felt dissed because his coach sat him for ditching practice?...He is locker room poison and the most overrated player in NBA history
...Check out his stats sometime...terrible career shooting percentage and a lot of turnovers...I would hate to see him land on any of my favorite teams

Depends on what pieces I have, how much money I have to spend and how tolerable I would be. Iverson will cost a pretty penny (in trades and contract) for any team that trades for him, and he's proven he can be a pain in the ***. If he ever gets paired up with a good big man he could be successful, though. Even with the speculations I don't see him going anywhere, though. Except maybe the Knicks, I'm sure Isiah would like to have another troubled PG on the team.

I think that Iverson is overrated. I think that an NBA Team would have to give up so much in order to get him. It would be a 2-3 player trade just to get him out of Philly. It would have to be something that really was going to benefit Philly. I wouldnt want him on my team because he is almostl like the T.O. of the NBA. And besides, what has he done in Philly??? Absolutely nothing. They have had talent in Philly but just havent been able to do anything with it. Iverson doesnt make any of his supporting cast better, which is essential in the NBA.

I would have to consider the pluses and minuses.
On the minus side, I have to trade away some good players to get him.
On the plus side, I dont need any good player if I have him cause he has the ball almost all the time!

And for your second question, I think a team like Memphis could use him, but he would probably want to be on a winning team and I cant think of a winning team that needs him right now.

Iverson is a great individual player and has big heart, he probably will win many "one on one contest" in the NBA, however, Iverson does not believe in practice and team work, not too many team manager like to deal with this kind of player.

The Clippers for Maggette (and others)...
Would be a good fit for him, and also a big market in L.A. who are also potential contenders. Also, their stars are balanced and do not feel that they need to put up 30 shots a game, so A.I. will not offset any egos or styles on the team, they will compliment each other. Say A.I. puts up 30 shots or so and is having one of those games where he is only shooting 30%? Well the Clips are one of the best rebounding teams, they will have his back. Say Brand is having one of those games where he is making most of his shots...well A.I. is a good passer and can feed him the rock. Overall, with E.B. roaming the post and paint, and A.I. on the perimeter and penetrating, the Clips would present a defensive delemma, and would be Dangerous!

The Miami warmth are possibly the team interior the NBA with the LEAST hazard of having AI. Dwyane Wade and Allen Iverson actually might desire to not co-exist. The Celtics at the instant have the superb hazard of having him. different communities that have a wager: Utah, Minnesota, Cleveland...you're able to even throw interior the vast apple Knicks for stable diploma...you recognize Isiah is keen to spend stable money any day of the week.

I personally wouldnt want him on my team..he's a one man show. A.I. is a great player but i dont think he makes a team better, probably worse if anything, basketball is a team game so what good is it having four other guys on the court just standing around and watching you. As for what team i think he'll go to i have no idea but, i personally feel he is no fit for any team unless he gets other players involved in the game, thats what i think.

If I were to have A.I. on my team if would be for two reasons

Scoring and Heart. The dude is only 165 (with 5 lb weigths in his pockets). But he isn't afraid of anything. He can score basically at will. He is third in the league in steals as well. He's a hustler and a winner. But I would have to look at what my teams needs. Chemistry would be a big thing also. But if I could pair him with a dominant low post player he would be cool.

He needs to be traded to Houston. McGrady is always banged up anyway.

Well heres the news:

The Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics have emerged as the leaders to trade for disgruntled Philadelphia 76ers star Allen Iverson, league executives told Yahoo! Sports on Friday night.

According to sources, 76ers general manager Billy King has targeted Mavericks guard Devin Harris – a favorite of the executive's going back to Harris' college days at Wisconsin – as a primary piece to a potential package with Dallas.

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban wouldn't deny that he's engaged in trying to make a deal for Iverson but wrote in an email to Yahoo! Sports on Friday night, "We wouldn't trade Devin."

King has been telling teams that he wants a combination of expiring contracts, young players and draft picks for Iverson. Sixers owner, Ed Snider, flatly said Friday night: "We'll trade him."

Several teams in the past few days have expressed interest in the 2001 NBA MVP and four-time league scoring champion, including the Denver Nuggets – who like Boston – discussed those trade possibilities with the 76ers before last June's NBA draft.

The Celtics have a deep roster of young players, including forward Al Jefferson and guards Delonte West, Sebastian Telfair and Rajon Rondo, to send to Philadelphia. Also, they have the weighty veteran contract of Theo Ratliff to help balance Iverson's contract in a deal.

The Minnesota Timberwolves, with a possible package of Ricky Davis and rookie guard Randy Foye out of Villanova, is also believed to be a factor.

What had long been a tumultuous relationship between Iverson and the 76ers reached a breaking point this week.

As the New York Post initially reported on Friday, Iverson asked King for a trade on Tuesday and the G.M. soon thereafter started exploring possible deals around the league. After missing practice on Thursday and a shootaround on Friday with apparent back spasms, Iverson said he was well enough to play in Philadelphia's game against Washington on Friday night.

However, Iverson said 76ers coach Maurice Cheeks told him to stay away from the Wachovia Center and informed Iverson that he wouldn't be traveling to Orlando for a Saturday meeting with the Magic.

After getting banished for two games, Iverson issued a statement through his agent Leon Rose that sounded like he was resigned to the inevitability of a trade. More and more, it sounds like his 11-year career in Philadelphia is coming to a close.

"As hard as it is to admit, a change may be the best thing for everyone," Iverson said. "I hate admitting that because I love the guys on the team and the city of Philadelphia. I truly wanted to retire a 76er.
