Moreover, is it safe ? Does it hurt ? Will there be the possibility to heal any complications that there will probably be in the future ?

Well, thanks for the answers thus far. But how about a guy, say, at his 28 or 32 or something willing to have an eyebrow piercing. Will there be any complications as direct consequences of doing it in that age ?

You'll have this nice ugly little hole or crater looking scar where the piercing used to be if you take it out. Yes it hurts. When I was pierced the needle hit a vessel and I bled quite a bit and had a black eye for 3 days after. Make sure the piercing artist is certified by the state and health board. They should take everything out of a new package in front of you, including the needle and jewelry. I would suggest, like any other piercing, that you make sure this is something that you really want. Think to yourself "will this still look cool when I am 30-40-50? Will that scar look cool or will I hate it" I'm not against piercing, but take if from someone who has experienced this. What you think is cool at 15 or 18 is not what you will think is cool when your older. The question is, can you live with the scars if you decide you don't like it when you get older?

As with anything there can always be complications!! The biggest thing is the risk of infection; you will need to make sure the piercing and the site is sterile during placement. Also meticulous upkeep and care until healed is vital to help prevent infection. (which can sometimes still happen even with good care!)

It also depends on how well you heal and or scar. Some people are prone to a type of scarring called "keloids"--this is wear scars get thick as there is an overproduction of healing skin at the site....which could be a problem esp. on one's face!! Remember, also, that chances are you are not going to keep the piercing forever, but you run the risk of having a permanent hole or scar forever.

Although I have never personally seen anyone with nerve damage from an eyebrow piercing, it is possible, as many nerves that innervate the eyelid run through that area...it would suck to have a drooping eyelid for the rest of your life because of a piercing.

I am not anti-piercing....I have them myself!! I just recommend to stay away from your face!!

Hope this helps...Good Luck!! :o)

I've heard that it's possible to hit a major nerve when piercing an eyebrow that would then leave that side of your face paralyzed. Not sure how common that is, though.

i had mine done, i didn't even know he did it. no pain whatsoever. my ears hurt more. only thing i suggest, is make sure he goes deep enough into the skin so it doesn't grow out. having a hoop or a curved barbell will help prevent the growout as well.

i haven't worn mine in years, nad it's still open. I don't think it will ever close, keep that in mind too.

it hurts really badly and gets infected easily because the eyebrows purpose it to stop bacteria and particals from entering your eye so its no place for an open hole and it causes a permeneant hole that is not very attractive

Pernament hole or scare. That would look real nice in your 30's.
