Does anyone know good outcome (for primary parents of course) of childsupport cases when another parent is hiding his income not to pay or just pay minimal amouont of money? My ex-husband bought 2 taxi-cab cars for his new girlfriends name, only shows minimum wage (the rest is "tips") and says he'll only pay based on that. I know his hiding his income he doesn't even pretend he's not. Originally he aggreed to pay $600 a month (which is fare based on how much he really earns), but now he just disappears and doesn't want to pay. What do I do?

In my case I finally got a lawyer and he went after assets that are in his name to make up for child support he was behind and he even went for his fees.

if he agreed to pay a certain amount a month and it was court ordered then he has to pay. contact your local child support agency and they can confiscate the money by paycheck deductions and enforce the order free of cost. if he has tips, that is income. he cannot base it on his minimum wage alone. everyone knows cab drivers get tips. the judge will pick an assumed number and re-evalute a new wage for him. if you wanted to be really anal....you could request his income tax to be subpeonaed.

I don't know where you live but you should have an Attorney General. It is free to start a case with them and they can pull his income from his taxes....It is worth a look into...I just started a case with the Texas Attorney General myself. When you go to them you will need to tell them all this so they know how to approach the situation...Hope this helps and Good Luck

Get a lawyer. Also, be aware what he is doing MAY be illegal, and considered tax fraud, so make that point to him as well, and when tax season rolls around, and he reports it correctly, you MAY be able to use that to your benefit. He may not be scared of you, but he should be scared of the federal government who wants every dime of what they are entitled to.

TELL HIM TO GO STRAIGHT TO HELL.....
THEN YOU LET HIM KNOW THAT HE ISN'T HURTING YOU....ONLY HURTING YOUR CHILDREN..
BUT DON'T BE UPSET....YOUR KIDS WILL SEE WHAT TYPE OF DADDY THEY HAVE & SEE YOUR HARD WORK.....THEY WILL BE ON YOURSIDE IN LIFE. DADDY WILL NEED THEM 1 DAY IN LIFE & THEY WILL TURN THEIR BACKS ON HIM.

JUST TRY YOUR BEST TO KEEP FOOD & ROOF FOR YOUR KIDS. IF THERE ARE EXTRAS THEN SPOIL THEM WITH THAT.
