Fountain Pen is an elegant writing instrument and it is suitable for a gift. The ballpoint pen can also be elegant but only from the outside. I mean as a design. The writing character of the fountain pen can never be matched by the ballpoint but then you have to see the practicality of the pen too. Personally I do not see that a fountain pen is to be carried in a breast pocket. Think about the person that you are going to give it to.
