Is there any relation between how fast/slow the heartbeat is and sex?

120 to 170 beats per minutes...It's supposed to be under 140 beats per minute it's a boy and over 140 it's a girl.....That has been true in every baby in my family for probably that last 30 yrs...but it is not always true....my son's was 125 bpm the whole time...and my baby I am pregnant with now...averages 150 bpm ...and it's a girl..

My little guys heartbeat ranges from 140-160. I have an at home heartbeat monitor, so we listen to it every night!!! The old tale is the slower the heartbeat it is a boy. Not sure if that is true all of the time!!!

Varies by gestational age and of course by individual. Can be anywhere from 120-180 though. It's usually faster in early pregnancy, but by month 4-5 it should level out between 130-170. Some believe that a girls heart rate is faster than a boys...I have heard contradicting stories though. It's kind of wives tale that if the rate is between 130-150 that it's a boy and between 160-180 it's a girl. (By the way...it worked every time for me)

You usually can't hear the heartbeat with a stethoscope until after 20 weeks but you need to have a very good stethoscope. I still couldn't hear my baby's heartbeat at 30 weeks.

120-160 bpm is normal. They say girls have higher heartbeats, in the 140-160 range and boys lower, but that is simply a theory.

I think what the dr wants to hear is anything between 120 and 160 as far as I can remember. All I know is my baby was a strong 154 at our last check up, and the doctor said "very good". LOL.

110 to 160 and the old wives tale is that anything over 150 is a girl but with my son his heartbeat was always over 150 and he came out a boy.

usually 110 to 160 is good. the tale is girls heart rate is higher. My experience is with my 3 children. My 2 boys heart rates was around 123 and 128. My girl was around 148. Superstition was definitely true in my case.

I have heard anything from 140 up. There is supposedly a correlation between the heartrate and sex. I think that the higher the heartrate is the more likely you will have a girl.

Between 100 maybe a little lower and up to 175, my little girl was around 140 to 175 the whole time, but for boys its a little lower.
