I send out cards, too -- Christmas for Christian friends, Hanukkah for Jewish friends, and generic "happy holidays" (or Happy New Year) cards for friends who aren't religious.
As for when to send them...well, I wish I had them out already, but we haven't even started making them yet! (Yes, we make them ourselves...it's a ton of work, but we always get comments on how much people look forward to seeing what we make each year! Although every year store-bought cards start to sound like a better and better idea...)

I always send out my Christmas cards by mail. It has more of a personal feel to it then just picking something out online. Last year I made all of my cards which I got many compliments on. I also purchase Hannukah cards to send to my friends that are Jewish. They in turn send back Christmas cards. People during the holiday season try to make it perfect. They need to stop and remember the real reason for the season.

Sure, the cards are especially appreciated by singles and elderly who enjoy being remembered at any time of the year. The holidays remind us to be more thoughtful and a card, no matter what the cost is wonderful to find in the mail with other junk mail and bills. People now call and say thank you for the lovely card. Cards are also artistic and create a lovely holiday art piece for the mantle or table during this short season of good will among men.

I mail out Happy Holiday cards faithfully every year. My friends (no matter their religion) are grateful that I remember them. But unfortunately today's society has caused too many people to forget that the jester of a card is one's way of saying that they care and are thinking kind thoughts about you. Instead they now use the season and its good will as a way to make someone feel uncomfortable about religion by making a "usually" over stated comment.
If someone I know mentions that they don't celebrate Christmas or the "Season" I just say no problem and remove them from the mailing list.
Don't let a few grumpy bears ruin your Christmas spirit....I say send away!

I think it's a wonderful idea, and yes, I send out Christmas cards via the United States Postal Service! I love the personal touch and always am picky about the stamps too! Anyone that is pitching a fit is obviously having a bad day or hasn't any manners! Do you also send out thank you notes? Hope so!

playing cards on stand-by, none mailed as yet yet will be interior the subsequent few days... BQ, my birthday is that this month and as they say in u . s . a . of america, "It sucks".. i have by no skill had a birthday party, and by no skill had birthday recent, as such.... "blend" provides do not paintings, because once you've siblings and also you spot them get the very similar for Christmas as you receive, the "blend" element is slightly corny... Then, at the same time as they get birthday provides, and activities, it does no longer some thing on your own experience of belonging, nor the sensation that you're needed, or that certainly anybody even cares... Christmas birthdays are the crappest situation going.......
