Absolutely! Not only is Turkey's geographical location in both Europe and Asia, culturally, Turkey is a very western country and would add value to the EU, both economically and strategically.

Yes, Turkey is more western or european then they are eastern. Even though the bulk of the country is not in Europe. Its about culture, and I think the Turks are well beyond the days of the Ottoman Empire and well on their way to the 20th century.
