IF you are going to purchase a Docking Station for your unit -- I would go up to the Electronics (or Power Zone) area and have them HELP YOU -- ask if they can pull out a unit and see if it is compatible with your own -- and DO Bring your unit with you so that you can see if the two will match up.

No, most MP3's use a USB docking station, or a USB extension with a USB female socket in an upright position to facilitate plugging in the MP3 where as Ipod has its own system

no, every docking station is proprietary. you must get the one designed for your player. however, if you have a zen, it comes with a dongle into which a standard usb cable connects. as long as you have the dongle, you can replace the usb cable with whatever other brand you want.

Not necessarily. It would depend on the connector that your mp3 player has and the connector on the docking station.

most are just plugged into the headphone jack......ain't too sure about ipod (knowing ipod i bet they aren't universal }
