Depends on the blood test. There are hundreds of different types of blood tests, and each one is different in that they're looking for something specific. The test may be designed to detect the presence of something (like a drug test), it could be designed to measure how much of a certain something is in your blood (like a white cell count), or it could be designed to find the exact chemical composition of your blood and everything in it (like a GC/MS, which is used not only in crime labs but in drug-testing labs to find exact levels of drug metabolytes). The simple answer is: Birth control pills will show up on a blood test if the test identifies hormones and/or hormone levels, and your garden-variety blood tests usually don't check for those things.

It could. Birth control pills contain hormones that trick the body into thinking it's already pregnant to stop the ovaries from releasing more eggs. Hormones show up in blood and urine tests.
