yes, its always red. Its the veins that are blue..well some will say the veins are really white in color but with the blood and light it makes the veins "look" blue. But we have to remember many years ago people did not really know this so they said blood was blue...and gave us some lame reason for it...now they "say" they know better..lol

Even the nurse is wrong...your blood is always red, your veins are just blue. That's why if you look at your arm, the veins are blue. However, the blood inside them is still red. Shows what "medical students" know...

well considering i got surgery yesterday and i have tubes coming out of me 2 ivs with no air in them but alot of blood i would say that ur blood is always red... ur vains r blue.

Blue when it hits open air like when you cut yourself the oxygen turns it red.

blood is actually blue but than when it gets oxygen to it it turns reddish brown/blue....Also when is drys it will dry dark red
