I believe that we are all on this plane of existence temporarily and the we are all extensions of the creator. We are here to learn and help each other learn and when we do die if we have learned all that our souls need we return to the creator to become but another part of the creator. If we have not learned all that we need to learn then we come back to learn more until we get it all. I know that this is how the creator is perfect and makes no mistakes. Because we are thee and thee is we so the creator always continues to improve itself through us. So basically . . . to learn. My aunt is always telling me "It is not the destination, its the journey that counts"!

It's a phase we are going through. We die after we lived, but we don't know what happens after we die. Suppose we'll find out when we die what happens next and why we lived? Or maybe we are meant to live to find out what's life is for.

An Indian saint had once said we are born to make a mark on this world. If you believe this, then you have to find out what mark you want to leave behind. Actually we all seek to make this mark and for that we learn. Make learning a practice, from whoever and whatever.

BTW, the epic Mahabharata (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahabharata) says the most astonishing aspect of the human being is that everyone knows that he/she will die sooner or later, but everyone has tremendous lust for life.

Living enables your soul to learn from life's experiences. I believe a well lived life is determined by how much you give to others and if the world was a better place by your being in it.
This life on Earth is not all there is.

To die is an expression that means change. We come to this world dying to the life of the womb. A change from the physiological world of the womb of our mother to the physical world of existence. To go to the spiritual world or the invisible world we also need to change or die in other terms.

There is no purpose. Look at a troop of monkeys. Eventually they will all be dead and the youth will be the adults. Evenetually perhaps the whol troop will die. When the world is swallowed by the sun, all life will be gone. It's the same for us. Eat, sleep, procreate. That's it.

The point is learning and leaving a mark on future generations. That way, even if we don't live on, we will have influenced future generations, and hopefully leave the world better than it was when we entered it.

As you point out you can not live without dieing, but you have important work do during life, that is to fulfill in your own way the flowering of your spirit so that you may return to God as a spiritual being that is a wiser, kinder, more loving and in all other ways a closer representation of God who made us in his/her image. Death is a freeing of the spirit and opens up new ways that we can be of help to our God, our family and our whole community of souls. I look forward to each day that I live but I also look forward to being reunited with God and to be of greater service to God and mankind.

Living is a false idea of coming to this world, trying to become someone successful and let every benefit for our next generation.
So, living is like going out for a walk when you know you'll be coming back home...

Life is to learn to get along with others, accomplish new things, share emotions, love, care, cry, smile and experience the moments that take our breath away.
