I think a careful examintion of those usually called "radical Mulim clerics" would reveal they are as far removed from mainstream Muslims as radical inquisition executioners are from modern, mainstream Christianity.
By comparison, President Bush is not a radical Christian, Senator Feinstein is not a radical Jew, and Senators Hatch, Bennet, Reid, and Crapo are not radical Mormon senators

As a reverted Muslim,I truly envy you the wonderful family unity and live that exists in the majority of Muslim homes. It is truly a great gift and one that too many take for granted. Coming from a Western background I fell in love with my husbands rather large extended family. I only have one brother who is 7 yrs older and I hardly know him. There is a very old Egyptian saying" I and my brother. I,my brother and my cousins. I, my brother, my cousins and the community, this is my family." One of the determining reasons I was drawn to accept Islam was seeing the rapport and love that existed in Muslim homes, this is truly a blessing of Allah swt. It was something I needed in my life and just another gift that becoming a Muslim has given me. I realise the same love would have been there for me in the family if I had not chosen to revert. But now I really feel a part of the family going to masjid with my sisters in law and having long talks, (with translation prompts from the family) with my very elderly Grand Um in law, who we call Ummie and I'm not just the Australian wife, sister and daughter in law I am also Muslim and very proud to be for I feel truly blessed.

Are you denying he is killing in the name of Islam? I think you should read his statements a little closer. either he is a radical or all Islam is under the same ideas he has, which would you like to believe? and which is the correct view of Islam is the question

Because Sadr views us all as infidels and is apparently bent on our destruction.
