"Hi , can I put you on hold please?" But it was a residence. They were home from work and answered like that by accident.
Another friend answers by saying "What" or "Talk".
The wierdest for me is a guy who won't say "goodbye" to anyone on the phone. He just hangs up at the appropriate time. He thinks one should only say goodbye at death. This guy is like 65. He's been hanging up on friends and family his whole life.
