You'll be okay. My best friend moved half way across the country. I'm obviously from Texas and she moved to California about 4 years ago. I have only seen her once since then when she came to visit (she surprised me on my door step). We still keep in touch, though it's not very often, I still see her as my best friend, because I trust her the most than any of my other friends. Sure, you'll miss her, I cried too. But, that won't mean your friendship will grow weaker. It will grow stronger over the distance. And when you see each other when you visit, you'll pick up right where you left off. Hope it all works out for you : )

Couldn't live without her around? Come on now, that's a little dramatic isn't it. This is a world of cell phones, instant messaging, cell phones. cars, digital cameras, and the internet. You have many many options on how to keep in contact with her. Plus, as you said, she isn't really that far away. Buck up. You can't stop her from moving. You can't go with her. Accept it, make new friends and stay in contact. This won't be the last time friends move away. That's just the way it is.

OK. I have had to do this all my life. The best thing to do if you can go with her is to get her E-mail and phone number so u can keep in contact, try to keep away from having to have her call you because it will take longer it seems. Also try to go visit her or have her visit you every now and then.

You will be fine. It's really easy to stay in touch what with mobile phones and email and instant messaging. Try not to worry - it might be hard at first, but you can always see each other at weekends and holidays and stuff
