majiunana is a good thing why do ppl hate if we are so concerend about are enviroument y do u illegalize majiuana IT CAN help are enviroument and mabe even terrisim majiuana aka hemp can be prodused to make clothing paper and can be used for healing and reacuational perposes it takes a tree 200 yrs to fully majure and then be cut down to be used as paper when hemp only takes max 12 months to make and the government can make profit off of it i dispise anyone that dislikes majiuana why is it that u hear about accidents about weed but NOT booze y booze is more harmful then majiuana have u ever heard of a death a reported death concerning majiuana give me ur opinoins and yes i am a stoner.

I don't know, but I agree that alcohol is worse.

Oh yeah and tan is right. I saw that on the history channel as well. They thought it made people crazy and made them commit more crime. After they studied it and found that it didn't they never did bother to legalize it again despite the evidence.
That was on the history channel.

people hate it so much because the government puts it down so people hate it. the gov't is stupid because yes they could save a ton of money but why would they want to do that? as far as the news, of course they are going to trash it even though they have nothing but circumstancial evidence. NO ONE HAS DIED FROM SMOKING POT!!!! I just dont get it. i have been smoking for a few years now and i'm still as sharp as a tack. i'm in good physical and mental health, and pot is better than cigs. so if they are going to have pot illegal why not cigs as well? But my big question is look at the first woodstock...was there violence no. kids behaved themselfs all for the good of music. Face it...there wouldnt be so many damn arguments and gang fights if pot was leagal, the gov't would save money, people might actually be a bit more caring and loving to one another. whatever i guess no one will ever see, all i know is i was born WAY too late!

Well first off, were you high when you wrote this? Very bad grammar and one long sentence. Anyway, I don't know who told you that Marijauna is good for you, but its not all good. Its just as bad as smoking cigarettes or drinking beer.

Just like drinking alchol marijuana causes lapse of judement and delayed reflex. This is a very serious problem when you mix it with driving an automobile.

The main reason for this behavior is the drug is from the presence of Tetrahydrocannabinol, also known as THC, Δ9-THC, Δ9 the main psychoactive drug or psychotropic substance found in Marijuana. This gives the user the high feeling that they are looking for in the first place when smoking it.

Also, one of the problems other than all the effects on the human body slowed judgement, etc... is this is considered a gateway drug. A lot of people who start with Marijuana experiment with stronger addictive drugs. This is why it is illegal in most of the civilized world in one form or another.

Also, the drug that helps with cancer, aids, and other diseases is the main ingrediant, THC, which is already been made synthetically and is legal as a prescription in the USA and other countries as treatment for several major illnesses and diseases.

I'm not trying to say that its bad, but the fact is they havent even researched it as thoroughly as they have the effects of smoking and drinking. I can agree about the alcohol thing. They both change the way you behave yet they still allow alcohol to be legal pretty much everywhere with age restriction. Maybe they should do the same, put an age restriction on it.

I've never smoked weed, marijuana, whatever you want to call it by. But I'm not going to bash anyone, to each his own...but I doubt it will ever become legal.

i compleatly agree with everything you say. i love .... wait ..... LOVE marijuana. currently i am trying to detox, so i can pass a drug test for a judge. but look im a good person, i never do anything wrong. i take care of people, i have a full time job, i love kids and im responsible. im being made out to be a criminal, and a hellian, all because of a little marijuana. its not right, and i just have to tell myself everyday that life is not fair. I ALSO HAVE ADHD REAL BAD. WHEN I SMOKE, I CAN CALM DOWN. AND HEY I ACTUALLY PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS AND AM ABLE TO PULL A'S. WHICH WOULD BE THE FIRST TIME IN MY WHOLE LIFE THIS HAS EVER HAPPENED. COLLEGE ISNT EASY EITHER, AND IM AN OUTSTANDING STUDENT.

Marijuana != hemp.

Yes, alcohol is more dangerous than cannabis, but it's so deeply ingrained into culture that the government would have a hard time outlawing it. The same goes with smoking, governments are making attempts to remove smoking from most of daily life so they can eventually stop it (but in the meantime they need the tax).

One day alcohol and tobacco will be illegal in most states too. And remember that marijuana is 'tolerated' in the netherlands.

Racism is the root cause. Marijuana was associated in the early years with African-Americans. Booze with white folks. So booze because ok, but smoke became bad. Now, the commercial interests in the booze lobby and the radical Right Wing "if it feels good it is wrong" crowd stand together to keep those outdated laws on the books.

I like marijauna also, but I don't smoke so much that I can't spell worth a damn. Your mastery of the english language is an excellent example as to why marijauna is illegal, because they think it might do this type of thing to everybody who smokes weed.
