I think you are confused. You don't DO your w2. The company prepares one in January for you. It will show your total income and federal withholding for 2006. You then use it to prepare you income tax return for 2006. Take your w2 to H&R block or something, whenever you receive it next year.

You should receive your W-2 form appx. 45 days into 2007 at the mailing address you gave Target. From there you fill out a 1040 form and you'll probably receive a small refund since you haven't been working there all too long. The amount of money you made just since the summer should not affect your financial aid. It never did while I was in college.

The employer will send you your w2 probably toward the end of January. It's the law. It will show up in the mail as long as your address is correct. Or if you move, you have a forwarding address set up with the post office. Your last paystub will have all the numbers you need to file your taxes in the event your w2 doesn't show up.

When you file your taxes by snail mail, you will send one of your four copies of the W2 with your Federal income tax return, One with your State (if you have a state income tax) and with your local city (if it has an income tax). When you electronically file, you keep your copies for a minimum of 3 years, just incase of an audit.

Your employer has until the 31st of January to mail W-2's to all employees of record. Make sure they have an updated mailing address when you leave, and if you move before the end of January, update again.

It is submitted with your tax return for the year.

You get your W2 form after the new year. They have 30 days to get it to you after January 1st. This is so you can do your taxes. They'll mail it to your last address they had on file.

they send you your w2's in the mail, no later than jan 30. thats it. you can't get it now. you have to wait til the years up. so, as long as your address is right for that employer, you will get it in the mail. fill out your fasfa after that. or fill it out now, and check the box that says you haven't filed taxes yet. look on your pay stub to see how much money you've made for the year, or ask your employer, they have to provide that kind of info.

They will mail it to you. All companies have to send out all W-2's by 1/31 each year..to everyone who had worked there in the last year. If you leave, they will just send you your W-2...just make sure your address is correct on your paycheck stubb as that is where they will be sending it
