baby powder has alot of dust in it... it would be okay to put on carpet, but, it's gonna create alot of dust in your house... it'll probably be okay nfor garbage cans too, just put the bag in as soon as you put powder because of dust... the litter box, you probably won't be able to tell much difference in the odor, and everytime the cat scratches in the litter pan it's gonna stir up dust...also, if you have a 10 month old baby you don't want all that dust for him to breathe...

It will make your house disgustingly and horribly dusty, the powder will sit on the furniture or anything else, it is a huge pain to clean up!!!! If you feel like dusting all your furniture, figurines, and everything else, go ahead...... Bottom of trash can probably wouldnt hurt, niether would the cat box, I don't know how much it would work though. Try it.

im guessing as a mother myself that the reason you dont use powder on your baby is coz it leaves their skin dry!!! i much prefer lotion and yes its safe to use on your carpet and all the other things you listed except the nice smell doesnt last too long especially in the bin and litter tray but if you sprinkle it on the carpet when you hoover it smells gorgeous and it does everytime you hoover after that i do it once a week xxx

If you aren't using the powder on your child because you don't want the possibility of getting talcum into his little lungs, then don't use the powder anywhere else.
