Rivers has gotten through the season but has L.T. and doesn't throw often anymore. Young is the hot hand but is more of a Vick style QB. which should I go with?

Well the dilema I have is that I'm playing a guy who has L.T. and could possibly get a receiving TD. If I play Rivers that would cancel out with a passing TD. Also If I play Rivers I have Champ Bailey as my defensive player, so If Rivers throws a pick Bailey will get 2 points and cancel out the INT. Rivers had 2 TD's against Denver week 11 not just one. but he did have 2 picks. I also have Michael Jenkins playing this week, because my opponent has Vick. I wish I had TB's defense this week. we get 5 points per INT for our defenses.

Usually I would recommend Rivers over Young, but due to their match-ups this weekend I'd recommend Young.

Young is playing very well these days, and is returning to Texas to play Houston at home. That motivation of returning home should help him deliver a big game. But beyond that, he is facing the hapless Texans' defense, ranked 24th in the NFL, and has an easy opponent this weekend.

Rivers, as you correctly pointed out, has been throwing less recently as the Chargers' offense has been leaning on the incomparable LT. Additionally, the Chargers are facing the Broncos this weekend which has one of the top pass defenses in the NFL, and arguably the best cover corner in the league in Champ Bailey. I would expect the Chargers to run heavily, as the Broncos have given up back-to-back-to-back big rushing games in recent weeks. The Chargers played the Broncos only 3 games ago, and Rivers have only 1 TD against 2 picks, so did not perform well against the Broncos recently.

Good luck!

I've gotten burned by Rivers the last two weeks. He was my backup after McNabb went down. I would go with the hot hand in Vince Young but sadly, don't be surprised if they both put up statistical stinkers this week.
Rivers has a tough matchup and Young is due to slip up soon. Best of luck!

Depending on your league setup I would go with Young. He will earn points rushing and is playing arguably the worst team in the league in Houston (giving up 250 passing yards per game at home.)

I would go with Young.

The chargers wont take to many chances with Champ Bailey on the field.

Denver will shut down Phil. Go with Vince.
