I read somewhere that husbands masturbate more often than they have sex with their wives. I don't think wives would get upset if they knew about it... just as long as they don't see their husbands doing it in front of them.

some wives might. it could be seen as an insult because their husband has to masturbate before he can be with her, or that he'd rather do that than be with her. think about how you would feel if your wife told you that she masturbated because she didn't want to be with you or you just didn't do it for her. or because she needed to turn herself on before she could be with you. if thats the case, i'd say try some marriage counceling. i just took a class on it and there are some amazing ways out there to make the sex between a couple absolutly great again.

I was told once that there are two kinds of men, men who admit to masterbating and those who lie. I think I would be more concerned if my hubby told me that he didn't, that would indicate he fell in the latter group of men. There is absolutely no reason to be offended that a husband takes a little time for himself once in a while. Sometimes men like to have the release without being concerned with his partner's pleasure. That sounds selfish on the surface but that way he can focus more on pleasing his partner when the time comes. Which means, in a round about way, that a husband masterbating can be a thoughtful "gesture".

If my wife's masturbating, I say more power to her. I figure with all the personal business I took care of between the ages of 13-20 (and 20-40, and since turning 40), she's got a lot to do if she's ever going to catch up with me in that department.

I would be upset if he hid it from me like he was afraid to tell me. I do think it's awesome masturbating next to my husband who is masturbating. :) Just got to be honest, and some wives might feel they aren't satisfying their husbands, and might take some reassurance, and patience ...

Why get mad.. If I'm not in the mood I know he can handle it himself. Plus every once in awhile a guys just gotta let go off some pent up pressure. Any woman that gets upset is out of her mind... They did it before you and they'll keep on doing it.. Just go woth it and let them enjoy.

It really depends on the situation. The level of communication they maintain, the wife's security in the relationship and her sexuality and whether or not she is comfortable with her husband masturbating all contribute.

You had better make sure you are satisfying her before you even let her know! she might think she doesnt satosfy you! And if she doesnt have a muliorgasm then i would say your masturbating can be best used taking care of her instead of yourself! So ya there are alot of reasons she could get mad

Most don't, but there are a few that do. I don't understand why they get mad. I say, join him. Watch him get himself off while you get yourself off. I love watching my husband masturbate.
