Today I drove by Disney on my way home and there were hundreds of people protesting. On thier signs read: STOP DISNEY FROM OUTSOURCING OUR JOBS

This is happening in every American industry and it is sad to see good American people loose their jobs to countries who usually end up protesting back against us. Take Indonesia for Example
Two weeks ago thousands protested against Bush and were yelling in the streets" Down with America"!!!
People what is going on,
We need to send a clear message to our politians that outsourcing has to end and soon before half of the USA is on welfare!!!

WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ????????

Just making the conglomerates mad... will not help. You might as well bend over and brace yourself because it won't stop.

It is called free market economy. The government does not control outsourcing, the companies in question do. Further it works both ways. While many jobs have been outsourced, especially in manufacturing, many jobs have also been insourced. The only way the government could control outsourcing would be to forbid companies to do business with foreign entities. This would collapse not only the American economy, but so too the world economy and would make the Great Depression look like child's play in comparison. I am completely sick of hearing about outsourcing when everywhere I look there are help wanted signs. The economy is so good in my area that we cannot even get qualified applicants because there just aren't that many available.

LadySable: The question as too why is simple. It's called money. We as Americans demand the lowest prices possible period. Companies faced with the prospect of providing a reasonable price while maintaining an acceptable profit margin are forced to utilize cheaper sources of labor, cheaper manufacturing materials, or both in order to stay competetive. The simple fact is that in many industries American workers have priced themselves out of the marketplace. The American auto industry is a prime example of this fact and is slowly dying because of better built, longer lasting and cheaper priced Japanese alternatives. In the specific case you mention regarding fast food you can blame value menus. Everyone wants a burger for 99 cents, but no one cosiders the cost of assembling that burger or the fact that ingredient costs rise, but the base price of the final product remains the same. Honestly we cannot have it both ways. We can have cheaper prices or we can have completely homegrown labor, but we are not going to get both.

I wish I had an answer to your question but I don't. All that I can do is add something to it.

Most people don't realize the extent or the types of jobs that are being outsourced. Some are jobs that you wouldn't think would be. For example:

My son works for a fast food restaurant. They are a test facility for the outsourcing of the drive through window attendants. This means that when someone approaches the fast food order board and places their order, the person they are taking to is actually in another country. They take the order, enter it into a computer where it is then read by those in the restaurant who fill the orders.

Why? No answer to that question either.

At what point will you say that the price of something is to high?
What do you think is a good percentage to make in profit when you make something and sell something.

Do you think salaries, amount of employees, shipping, taxes, insurance for employees, pensions, etc. have anything to do with the prices of things?

At what point would you start looking for cheaper ways to make your product. Salaries go up! Prices go up?
Seems like it doesn't take much to figure out why business's are outsourcing the jobs. The American worker is pricing himself out of the market. Guess we have enough money to stand back and let a global economy, that promotes poverty, control the maunufacturing industry. So tell me, what has highter pay for the American worker without a higher output done for America? Nothing except cause the manufacturer's to start looking for cheaper help that can do just as good a job! We don't fix anything anymore, we just replace it cause we have the money!!!

Thanks to the labor unions over the years, the cost of producing goods and services in the United States has become prohibitive. Companies are about PROFIT. If they can produce their products cheaper in foreign markets the larger the profit margin, the more the stock value goes up and everyone is richer and happier. Out sourcing will stop when american workers are willing to work for the same wages as workers in foreign countries do. which will bve on the 32nd of Neveruary.

Bryan says it all.
There are high paying manufacturing jobs here. Enough to where manufacturers are having a hard time filling them with trained qualified candidates.

And at least look at the link before thumbs down.

It will stop when Employers realize that tax benefits we currently give to overseas production could be better used here. For that to happen we will need new laws and there is just a faint chance now that we may get them.

it relatively is termed unfastened marketplace economic device. the government does not administration outsourcing, the businesses in question do. extra effective it works the two techniques. whilst many roles have been outsourced, extremely in production, many roles have additionally been insourced. the only way the government ought to administration outsourcing could be to forbid businesses to do employer with distant places entities. this might give way no longer in straightforward terms the yankee economic device, yet so too the worldwide economic device and could make the super melancholy appear like baby's play in assessment. i'm thoroughly sick of listening to approximately outsourcing whilst everywhere i glance there are help needed symptoms. LadySable: The question as too why is easy. that's referred to as money. We as human beings call for the backside fees achievable era. businesses confronted with the possibility of offering a sensible cost whilst protecting a suitable income margin are compelled to employ extra value-effective components of exertions, extra value-effective production ingredients, or the two with the intention to stay competetive. the easy reality is that for the duration of many industries American workers have priced themselves out of the industry. the yankee vehicle marketplace is a chief occasion of this reality and is slowly loss of life because of fact of extra suitable equipped, longer lasting and extra value-effective priced jap possibilities. interior the particular case you point out related to quickly food you may blame value menus. all of us needs a burger for ninety 9 cents, yet no person cosiders the cost of assembling that burger or the shown fact that ingredient costs upward push, however the backside cost of the surprising product maintains to be the comparable. actual we can't have it the two techniques. we could have extra value-effective fees or we could have thoroughly homegrown exertions, yet we are unlikely to get the two.
