GO TO A DOCTOR! Now! Drop the donut, curling iron, bagel, book, remote control, or mouse (computer, not real) and go to your doctor. It is more likely that something is wrong, but if not then at least you know........ WHY ARE YOU STILL STARING AT THE COMPUTER! GOOOOOOO!!!
seriously

how far along are you? In my 7th/8th week I had light staining that was brownish, at first just on the toilet tissue but then a little spotting came later. I've read this is happens to a lot of women in the 1st trimester but you should still always tell your OB about it. It can be aggravated by intercourse or other things like pushing associated with constipation, I think. Mine was around the time I WOULD have gotten a period if I weren't pregnant, but I'm not sure if that was a coincidence or not. The only thing my doctors did was bring me in for a new blood test, rhogam shot, and ultrasound, which were all just fine and I got to see the baby :)

if your spotting starts to be heavy and/or bright red, or if it is accompanied by any pain, and you are sure you are pregnant, go right to the hospital.

Implantation bleeding is vaginal discharge which usually contains a small amount of pinkish or brownish blood. Only about a third of pregnant women experience implantation bleeding.

How heavy is the bleeding? If you don't need a tampon or pad it is implantation bleeding, I just had it and only used a pantyliner.
