Get a seat near window.
before take off think that you are sitting in a super fast race car.
Enjoy the acceleration as it starts to fly.
once it starts flying just look out and feel your city like never before ..
its a breadth taking visual.
See as the homes become smaller, the cars resemble your hot wheels collection , and if you are sitting next to a wing , see how the wings fold/bend up or down.. remember to recollect what the science teacher said about how planes fly..
have a peek at th pilots cabin , and see how many things he monitors.. , You might even ask him a question on how they manage/ or how they make it fly..
If you are kid, you might not like the orange juice.. its bitter in taste. get something sweet.
Flying is such a fun.. jet get an window seat and enjoy the ride

First, get enough sleep the night before. Don't stay up all night packing or worrying!
You can take a natural relaxant like Melatonin supplement just before you fly, and also a sudafed or or claratin tablet so your ears won't plug up.
If you have difficulties with motion sickness, don't get a window seat, but if you enjoy driving, then the window seat is such fun! If the day is clear, you can see the miles go by, the huge crop circles and roads, mountains and geographic features of the country. It's awesome!
Get a pair of Earplane earplugs, or something similar to block the engine rumble noise. If your ipod or MP3 player has noise-reducing headphones, use them, or get a pair of ear-covering headphones with noise reduction. That is a huge help.
Eat something before flying. You are allowed to bring snacks on board, but nothing liquid unless you've purchased it after the security checkpoint. You can bring an empty water bottle, and fill it from the water fountain after the checkpoint. I bring Crystal Lite powder in a baggie to add to my water bottle.
Also, do something that absorbs your mind while you fly. Read a new magazine, bring along a thick paperback novel, record a books-on-tape on your MP3 player and put an eyemask on so you can concentrate on the story.
I also throw in a long, wide paschinka scarf/shawl in my carryon to wrap around me in the seat. The airlines don't offer pillows and blankets any more, and it can get quite chilly on board.
Talking to your seat mates helps too. Chances are, they're really interesting people and you will be surprised that the flight is nearly over!

Just consider how many people fly all the time, and are fine. I flew for my first time about 6 months ago, and I was super nervous, but as soon as we took off I realized just how much I had been overreacting. I feel safer in a plane than in a car, and it wasn't scary at all. We even had some decent turbulance, and it was ok. The ear popping wasn't even as bad as people said. You just have to swallow (that's why gum helps, it builds up saliva that you have to swallow.) I even sat in the very back
seat of on the trip home and it was just as fine as the other seats. I don't know what else to tell you, except to reassure you that it is actually very safe and very fun.

Try to choose a clear pretty day to do your first flight on, I think that helped a lot with me. Make sure you bring a snack, gum to chew when you take off really helps with the pressure, and something that you enjoy to do like reading, to relax you. Just don't try to over analyze everything... and take a deep breath. I was a little antsy on my first flight, but once we were moving, I was good.
Best of luck to you on your travels.

There are those excellent drops, totally natural called Rescue Remedy made out of flowers. You take 4 drops on your tongue and you feel much calmer and less stressed. It works, trust me.
