Between a Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo, C6 Z06 Corvette, Porsche 911 (997) Turbo, or a Mercedes SL65 AMG, which vehicle would you choose and why? I realize that there are much better super cars out there (Bugatti Veyron 16.4, Ferrari Enzo, Lamborghini Murcielago, Porsche Carrera GT, and Zonda), but staying under $250,000 is the point of this question. I know all the specs, options, and performance technicalities on each car, but I just want to know which car people think is the "better car" and why.

From ONLY the cars listed of Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo, C6 Z06 Corvette, Porsche 911 (997) Turbo, or a Mercedes SL65 AMG, which is the "better pick" for under $250,000 and why? I don't care for any other makes/models, so please don't waste my time or yours by responding with any other make/model (such as Dodge Viper, Ford GT, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, BMW M series, Audi RS6, or any other make/model that exceeds $250,000 or that is not listed from my selected list).

I'm giving you this answer only because you made a stink about it.

Go with an Aston Martin V12 Vanquish, and say goodbye to all the cars you listed in your rear-view mirror.

For that catagory, depends on your driving and needs. If you want to be elite, Ferrari or Lamborghini. But these cars are expensive to maintain and difficult to service.

A Porsche or Corvette can be used as an everyday driver and the maintanence cost are actually reasonable and the fuel mileage is pretty good for a high performance car.

The mercedes is a nice daily driver also but do not have any experience with it to really comment.

Purely for prestige, i would get the Ferrari. There is no experience like driving one with the roar of the engine this car makes.

For reliablity and real world use, I would get the porsche. Porsche actually is top ranked in JD powers surveys for quality, even above lexus which is second.

A 1987 Buick Regal GNX, this GM G-body coupe has a Garrett turbocharged V6. 0-60 in 4.7 seconds with 13.4s/104mph in the 1/4 mile. Only 547 were built. The GNX was axed because it could out perform the GM flagship, the Corvette. It has been known as the Darth Vader car because of its black paint and onmious presence. These cars may be rare but are a lethal street machine that shouldn't be messed with.

Corvette, one of the fastest, most reliable and functional and you could buy 4 of the Z06s for that much money.
Porsche would be a good choice except for the maintenance expense.

Ferrari. Stay with the super sound and visual appeal. Performance is great, maintenance costly, but so worth it.

Definitely a Dogde Viper. A McClaren F1 would be nice, but they go for a million.
