Ok. I have a 2001 Ford Focus. At the begining of August I had a problem where my car would start jurking and not straightin up. The jurk was like it was having a seizure and it was so bad I had to have the car towed to the dealership. Come to find out it was the fuel system and there was a special recall on it so Ford completly replaced it at no charge. Now since the weather has gotten cold, mainly since Monday, I'll drive it for awhile and it'll jurk once or twice and stop and I'll go on driving more and it'll do it again and keep doing this. Could some condisation gotten in there and froze? Any ideas would help. Like I said its a brand new fuel syestem and in four months it shouldnt be bad...

They replaced the whole system and the filter.

I have a couple gas stations I frequent depending on where I'm at in town when I need the gas and/or depending on the price. I think I did pick up condisation from the one as the pump was acting as if it was frozen like and having trouble pumping gas in my car.

Add gasline anti-freeze to the fuel give a day or so to work through the system and if it keeps hesitating take it back to the dealer.

Two thoughts --
1) With the change of weather, you MAY have picked up some condensation in a fuel load. Pick up some fuel dryer (e.g. HEET) and follow the instructions. Fuel up AFTER adding the product.
2) While you are at the parts store, if it is a discount store, ask them if they would retrieve any stored DTCs for you. If there are any stored, take the list back to Ford, or if you are going to attempt to repair the problem yourself, refer to a repair manual and FOLLOW THE TROUBLE TREE for proper diagnostics and subsequent repairs.
Don't ASSuME that a major component of a monitored system is the cause of the failure. It may be something else that is responsible.

Good Luck and Merry Christmas

Bring it back to Ford. The new system should be under warranty.
Do you buy your gas in the same place. If so the gas station may have water in their gas.
