I told my mom right away. I just called her grandma and she looked at me funny but knew right away. lol. I have yet to tell the rest of my family, just my friends that I'm really close to. I thought announcing it at christmas would be a cute way and old fashioned way to do it.

I think that you should tell them as soon as possible so you won't be stress out with the baby because it can cause problems through your pregnancy, but the best thing I think that you should do is tell your family is when you feel comfortable. I no that it is a hard thing to do but I went through it my self at a young age and it hard but my family over came being up set and in the then end were very happy to have a baby on the way by there first daughter in the family. And in the end I had health 7lbs 3 ounce baby boy.

From your question i assume you want to tell your parents and are afraid to? If your parents will be insanely mad at you then tell them this: I went to the doctor because I have been feeling very sick, so they took a blood sample and it turns out i have a rare blood disease (do some more research on that). I am going back in tomorrow.
- The next day you tell your parents that there was a mix up of blood samples and, thank god, you're only pregnant!
I've worked in a medical lab and let me tell you, the most common mistake that is made at any clinic is blood samples. Hopefully your parents would be happy that instead of possibly leaving this world, you are bringing new life to it.

First of all its not as hard as it seems. I did not know I was pregnant until I was like 6 weeks. I was soo sick and the stress of keeping it inside was making me more sick! So anyway, I went to my parents and I said I have to tell you something and I started crying. They knew from that moment so I didnt have to say it at all. I mean I dont know your situation but I wasnt married yet and they still took it well and I was also 29 so..but obviously now I am married and the baby was born and its all happily ever after....hahahah!

i told mine right away. i think that its better that they know so they can be apart of it from the start. i have a really close family though. some people say that you should wait until you go to the doctor for the first time but i really like telling them right away. i told my mom the first time by saying hi grandma. she got it right away and was so happy. you could go out to dinner with them and order something crazy and let the question bring itself up. have fun and good luck.

I recommend telling your family over a nice dinner setting. I would tell them after your 1st dr appt. That way you have some of your own questions answered before you get more from other people.

i told my family the last time i was pregnant by framing the sonogram picture and giving it to my mom. i waited until i was almost 4 months along with my last one to tell anybody - that is a judgement call - i only waited a month or so with the second and i called everyone i knew when the stick turned pink for the 1st!
good luck and congratulations!!

Wait till you're a few weeks into the pregnancy. Tell them on whatever holiday you celebrate. Give them a card and sign it from you and the baby.

I was really worried about telling my parents I was pregnant (even though i was 22 and very close to them). I waited till I was 8 weeks then sat them down together and told them. They were great. just make sure you time it right.

well, if you are a teenager, go ahead and get it over with sooner rather than later. tell one person first, say, your mother. let her deal with it, and if you want she won't keep it a secret.
If I was pregnant, and it wasn't a bad thing, I would wait as long as I could. Just keep it all to myself. but i like to be secretive. And they will probably guess you are, cause you'll start behaving differently.
