I agree with finkennedy.
Many of the questions here are obvious ploys to get someone else to do the person's homework (in other sections). SOme questions could be answered in less time than it takes to type them out if the person would just pick up a dictionary, or read the instructions on a package. Even worse are the onbe that say something like "I'm three months pregnant and felll down the stairs and am having sharp pains... what should I do?" Call a doctor, of course.
Lots of questions here deserve attention from answerers. Many do not.
A good question might be, why are you so hostile about this, and why must you use abusive language and name-calling to ask your question?

There are a lot of half-witted knuckle-suckers out there asking questions for which the most appropriate answer is "Try Google". I try to take into account the appalling level of imbecility in the average population, but some questioners seem just too lazy to try and think. I'm not going to do their work for them, and I don't bother suggesting they should "try Google" - it's not worth my time.
I try to limit my answers to questions on subjects for which I have a fair amount of knowledge (or opinion!), or if I'm interested in the question and potential answer but realize it could take a reasonably complex search to answer.
I like the "knuckle sucker" part - that's why I answered. :-)

I left that comment. I'm an award winning UK playwright, journalist and teacher with a Masters degree - hardly a halfwit. I'm self-employed and do all my own research, and I find Google provides me with most of what i need. I save using Yahoo answers for when i can't find the answer anywhere else. It would save questioners and answerers a lot of time if people showed a bit of initiative and tried looking for something first before clogging up this system due to nothing but their own laziness.

I'd guess that 98% of people on the internet have NO CLUE how to get the most out of google. They ask stupid questions when the answers could be found in 5 minutes looking up stuff on google, or wikipedia, or answers.com, or one of the millions of sites out there.
You can find almost anything you want without any communicating to ANYONE online today...

It could very well by an answer to a very very stupid question, that he didn't feel was even worth typing out.
I'm not saying the question was ignorant, but to be honest, I've seen some really ignorant questions on here, and I felt like telling them to do a search on google.

hi there,I requested a question about airport safe practices this morning & received 5, (good) replies. someone requested what replaced into the perfect heady scent to bypass with a toddler blue tank properly & were given 40 4 responses. Does that say some thing about the mentality of Yahoo solutions ,answerers?

The kind who realizes that fully 90% of the imbecile questions asked here could be more easily answered by the questioner doing a basic Google search.

It does seem a little bit pointless, but then so are a lot of questions, and quite a lot of other answers.
