Your pattern has squares as every odd term... so the next would be 1600...
15² = 225
30² = 900
12² = 144
40² = 1600
Then it seems that the even terms are one digit different than the prior term, so 1700 would be good after that.
225, 224, 900, 800, 144, 145, *1600*, 1700, ...

225,900,144 are all squares
so the next alternate no should also be a square
so it should be 1600
