I am 11 weeks pregnant and my belly has popped out a little & some of my clothes are getting pretty tight. Is this too early? Also when do people usually start wearing maternity clothes?

Congratulations Sweetie! I am happy for you. You have some very exciting things to look forward to!
I am answering your question because this is something that I have a great deal of experience with, personally as well as in other ways.
First of all IT IS DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE! lol....I just had to say that! There is no right time. Some women seem to be SO tiny that they just have no where to hide even a tiny bit of a baby and they show really quick. Other women that are thin and athletic may be able to hide a pregnancy quite awhile.
It depends on your muscle tone and your size. I am small and curvey but I always showed really early.
The whole thing is, and the important thing is, that it does not matter! Be comfortable. You may not need actual maternity clothes but try your looser things. Maybe invest in some soft stretchy pants or leggings that you can wear even after the baby comes with longer tops.
The thing to remember is that it is not a contest. It is all about feeling good and looking good while you are pregnant! Who cares how far along you are?
Even in the very beginning you will be a bit bloated, almost like from your period but more so. It is not actually the baby that is making your tummy pop out, tho soon it will be. The early bloated look and feel will go away but by that time your uterus will start to fill out.
Every woman is made differently and it is different even for the same woman but different pregnancies. Do not compare yourself to other women, we are each individuals. If anyone says anything just tell them that they think you are carrying twins! LOL...that will put a stop to it!
Have fun honey and enjoy your pregnancy!
Love and Blessings

This is my third pregnancy and I'm 16 weeks. I'm kind of in the pregnancy limbo, I lost a lot of weight from morning sickness (15 lbs) but then gained about 7 lbs, so although I'm skinnier, my belly and boobs are bigger. I'm too big for my clothes and too small for the maternity clothes that I wore with my other two, so I'm in my husband's clothes, lol. Usually if it's the first pregnancy you show later than you do with the other ones, and it also depends on your body type as well. If your doctor isn't worried about your weight then neither am I. Congratulations!

Its different with everyone. Yes some people will start showing early. Then other will never show. Me I didn't start showing until like 4 and half months. Thats when I got a little bump. Now I'm about 6 1/2 months some people (I think they are just being nice) say they couldn't even tell I was pregnant. My friend Jessica didn't even show really at all. She looked bloated. Then my friend Keysha omg she looked huge. When I saw her at around where I am I thought she was about to bust! She said she got alot bigger after that too.

I started showing noticeably around 4 months. I am a very thin built person naturally so I think it took longer than usual for me to show. You sound right about on track. I didn't start wearing maternity clothes until I was about 6 months but then again, I am probably a little later than most. Now, though, being 8.5 months, maternity clothes are my best friend. Good luck with everything!

Every body is different. It's not too early to start showing a little. But you usually don't stick out there until the 5th or 6th month depending on the baby's growth.

I wouldn't worry about maternity clothes till the 5 or 6 month, but would wear comfortable clothes likes sweats until then.

Everyone is different. with your first about 3 months probably. With subsequent pregnancies, you can show sooner. If you are ooverweight you may show later if you have a bigger belly already. That is what I did. I still had a flabby belly after my first so I am now almost 6 months and am finally able to tell a difference in the size of my belly. Had a somewhat big belly anyway. It just depends on the person. Good luck

Varies for nearly everyone. Wear maternity or larger clothes when they are more comfortable. Comfort is the key for you AND your growing baby! It's never too early and it's never too late to start showing and wearing maternity clothes. The timing and preferences are different for everyone. Be Happy! There's nothing like that "glow of pregnancy" to make you look fabulous, luminous and very, very good! Enjoy it all!

Some people show in their 3rd month, don't worry, you're fine. I didn't show untill I was nearly 5 months, and didn't wear maternity clothes untill 8 months. My waist is pretty small though. Some of my friends started wearing them in their 3rd month. It's not too early, it just depends on the person's body shape and your diet. Goodluck
