Nope. Any current characters you have will keep their levels.

The only characters you'd have to start at level 1 would be new ones you'd create after getting it - in particular, the new races, Blood Elves and Draenai.

Absolutely not!

That would be crazy. However when you level from 60-70 its going to feel like the amount of time it takes from going to 1-60. Thats probably what you heard or misunderstood.

No you will start from 60, the EXP to level up is insane, compared to the previous levels thou, i see that from 60 to 61 u need 415000 exp, and i also heard from beta testers that from lvl 69 to 70 u'll need a million exp. So make counts and you'll see that the leveling would be a pain, but its worthy

That would make no sense. It's only an expansion. That's only a mess up on someone else's part and it became a rumor

You start your Toon where you are currently in WoW. You only start at level one if you want to be a Bloodelf or a Dranei.
