No. Most states have laws against smoking on any school property. Teachers who smoke have to leave campus to have a cigarette or wait until the day is over. Parents, visitors, and students are also not allowed to smoke. This helps ensures that non-smokers have a healthy environment.

No. And there are a couple of reasons.
Smoking has been banned from government buildings. A public school is a government building.
Smoking is illegal for persons under the age of 18. It would not be cost effective to verify ages with a security guard.

Smoking should not be allowed in schools. Especially in high school. Allowing it promotes smoking and undermines the health implications that come with it.

No! Exposure to second hand smoke is actually even more dangerous than smoking yourself as many of the toxins in cigarette smoke are exhaled. It's not fair to the other students or the staff who work there to expose them to that. Many places have banned smoking in public places like bars and resturants because it's dangerous to the health of the employees, and there the employees at least have the (theoretical) choice to find a job someplace safer. Kids are required by law to be in school, and unless their parents are willing to homeschool them or put them in private school, they have no choice but to go to public school. I can't even begin to express how morally repugnant it is to have a legal requirement that kids spend eight hours a day in an environment that is dangerous to their health to the point where it can even be lethal.
Not to mention that the majority of high school students aren't old enough to smoke anyway. Plus it sets a terrible example for kids to see older students and even teachers smoking cigarettes at school (or anywhere else for that matter).

No they shouldn't allow it "in" the school building itself....but most campus's have a tabacco free campus so i think they should make a certain area outside on campus that people of age can smoke on.

Obviously not. Health reasons alone (to the smoker and the non-smokers), even high school kids know this.
