I don't know how old you are, but if you are out of high school, maybe they are trying to tell you to get a job and don't expect them to support you. If they want to send you money, they will, but don't expect it. Be mighty grateful that you got a card, and be more grateful that you still have your parents.

put it back in the mail, return to sender. write, "defective" or "lost cash from this one, please send replacement"
just kidding. why would you expect to get cash or presents from your parents. you aren't entitled to it. that is really kind of bit*chy.
