No a man cannot DECIDE the sex of the baby; however, the sex of the baby is genetically determined by the man. The sex is determined by two chromosomes coming together. A woman is represented by 2 X chromosomes and a man is represented by an X and a Y chromosome. Since a woman is always XX, she can only pass on an X chromosome, so she really has no influence on the sex on the baby. A man can pass on either the X or the Y chromosome. The Y will make it a boy and the X will make it a girl. Since there are only 2 sex determining chromosomes, there's always a 50/50 chance of a girl or a boy. Hope this answers your question.

NO it is all genetic...if a man could choose, don't you think there'd be a whole lot more little boys running around? The only way you can choose is to get an ultrasound and abort the baby if it is not the gender you wanted (I wouldn't recommend that though...)

Can a man, no. It's his sperm that decides the sex of the baby, but he has no say as to what one comes out!

The man's DNA decides the sex of the child. Female DNA is XX, male is XY. Therefore, the man is the one who donates the DNA strand that produces the sex of the baby.

Trick question. The man is the one who ultimatly does decide the sex, but he has no control over it at all. Those darn X and Y genes.

I believe that it is the number of Chromosomes that decides the sex of the fetus. You could research it on line or check your biology books
