Totally normal. Go to mymonthlycycle.com and it will have on there to document the color, heaviness of the flow, and kinds of clots.

I used to have that happen. However, I would also see a 2 or so gram drop in my Hemoglobin too, as in a drop from 12 mg/dL to about 10 mg/dL.

Eventually, I ended up getting a procedure done called Thermogenesis. The OB/Gyn suggested it. It was a godsend. Instead of having a 5-7 day period with clots, cramps, and drastic drops in my Hemoglobin, now I only go a couple or perhaps 3 days tops with no clots and not saturating my clothing anymore.

Would be worth looking into, and of course after ruling out any other reasons why...

It is normal to pass clots with your bleeding during a cycle. What is it? Well during a montly cycle what your body naturally does is prepare for pregnancy, it builds up lining inside the uterus to let the egg implant itself in. But since you dont get pregnant the lining along with the blood sheds. That is the tissue that you pass. It is normal.

Hopefully they are not too large. Some women get them VERY VERY large and that is not normal. It could be signs of other conditions. Such as uterine fibroids which are made up mostly of blood vessels which cause such HUGE clots.

But clots here and there are normal, just your body getting rid of the lining it forms on a normal basis and every month.

Hope this helps understand what that tissue is. That's what it is!

Yes, this is very normal. But do you get really bad cramps with your period? Because that's a whole new case. How big are your clots? Just to be safe you should talk to your doctor right away, because every woman's body is different.

No its not normal. This used to happen to me. Eventually i went to the doctor because i felt so weak and tired. I ended up being rushed into hospital that same night and had to have 3 bags of blood transfused into me. (Not a pleasant experience). Had to do it slowly over 3 days. I was told that my blood was so low, that if i had have had 1 more period, then i wouldn't be here today! So i would go and visit your doctor. Just to get the Ok. Good Luck.

Uterine fibroids are usually not dangerous, but can cause immense discomfort and lead to complications like anemia from heavy blood loss. In rare cases, they may cause complications that affect pregnancy.

In cases where there are no symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. However, proper diagnosis and treatment may be required if your symptoms are severe or causing complications. Along with conventional treatment, you can try some natural home remedies. Read here https://tr.im/uhddK

No. Make an appointment as soon as you can! I know someone who had this and they had to get a hysteractimy (uterus removed).

From their doctor, if you fill a pad faster than an hour, more than two hours in a row you should be going to the doctor immediately.
