My friends and i were joking around in chem lab about what we would name our kids when we had some. When I told the names to my brother he swore that if I ever name any of my kids these names he'd never talk to me again.
What do you think of them?
Boys:
Gatsby Nicholas Fitzgerald
Marlowe Edward Humphery
Langdon Thomas Leigh
Girls:
Tosca Maria Lucia
Turandot Emily Rosa
Ellis Rose Isabelle

Part of the joking was to think up the strangest names.
Sidenote. It'll be a long time before I have any kids

These names include their middles names too.
and one more thing. What do you think if the names were reversed. Like instead of Gatsby Nicholas his name was Nicholas Gatsby. My brother still said that he'd never talk to me even if I named my kid that.

I would hate to be a kid with a name like Gatsby Nicholas Fitzgerald, Marlowe Edward Humphery, or Langdon Thomas Leigh. Same with Tosca Maria Lucia, and Turandot Emily Rosa.
I like the name Rose Isabelle Ellis, not in the order you put it. These names would be annoying in a class full of Jennifers or Andrews.
I would stick to less original names like Elizabeth or Joey.

Nothing wrong with the choice of names but in my opinion they would sound better as I have indicated below.
Gatsby Nicholas Fitzgerald would sound better as Nicholas Gatsby Fitzgerald
Marlowe Edward Humphrey would sound better as Humphrey Edward Marlowe
Langdon Thomas Leigh would sound better as Thomas
Langdon Leigh
Tosca Maria Lucia would sound better as Maria Lucia Tosca
Turandot Emily Rosa no it should just be straight Rosa Emily
Ellis Rose Isabelle would sound better as Isabelle Rose Ellis
Best Regards Di

I don't think they are long enough or goofy enough.
Why stop with 4 names?
Why not 10...or 15 or 20...if you are going to scar your future children...you might as well seal the deal and go all the way.
Try Great Gatsby Nichlas Edmund Fitzgerald Xavier Lumpy Spanky Sneeze Lewis
Or
Tosca Chanti Parmigana Pizzaroa Nina Pinta Santa Maria Pasta Lucia
I think you should stop smelling so many chemicals in chem lab and listen to your brother.

wow... what were you smoking in the chem lab? ...well anyway i 100% agree with your brother... its a good thing you don't plan on having kids soon this way you can really think about what you will name your children later on... and I'm glad you were just joking around because if you were serious I don't think the babies father would talk to you either... i mean could you pick out more ridiculous names?! never mind that you probably could... geez

Your bro is one smart fella!!
Gatsby and Marlowe are horrible first names... if you must, they should be middle names! Langdon isn't too bad, but is sure isn't great!
Tosca and Turandot are awful first names... again, keep them as middles if you insist on such lunacy! Ellis isn't too bad, but isn't great either.
I'd keep thinking if I were you!!!
You asked!!

I am with your brother. Unless you hate the children you give birth to, I'd pick some others. You will probably change your mind on names a million times before you actually have children.

are you an opera fan? Out of all of them, i only like Langdon Thomas Leigh.
The names might be interesting and quite unique, but think about your kids who'll have to wear them... they might not like to stand out like that.... And other kids are really mean... they might get picked on a lot!
