For me, I'd have to say CLOCKWORK ORANGE and MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA.

Lord of the Rings and Memoirs of a Geisha were both fantastic for cinematography! I can't think of any more off the top of my head right now though.... I'll come add them on as I do. :-)
Here's another: What Dreams May Come. It was a wierd movie, but the images were outstanding! The paintings, Heaven, Hell. It was really something.

I'd have to agree with you on Memoirs of a Geisha as well as The Fifth Element just because of the creative costumes, sets, etc.

If we are going purely visual, my choices would be Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, The Fountain, and Seven Years in Tibet

same here... i would have to say Memoirs of a Geisha and Spirited Away... that was an amazing movie.

Hands down I'd have to say Schindler's List! I still can't get that scene with the little girl in the red coat out of my mind.

great expectations - the one starring Gwineth Paltrow - so green, green, green and fresh; and the hero - the chinese movie: 4 interpretations of the story - 4 colors, that's fascinating! i've never seen color being the main character of the movie!

Spirited Away...japanimation but it was a stunning 2 hours movie.
