It just depends on your insurance. You can ALWAYS go to your local Planned Parenthood and have a blood test done for free if you qualify.

I didn't have to pay a thing, but I was also having a routine physical and my doctor always takes blood for cholesterol check up and such. That could be why I didn't have to pay anything. They probably did a pregnancy test with the left over blood, lol.

No. It's not your baby. There is NO possible way you can find out that early. ADD: To get a positive on a blood test (or urine test) implantation of a fertilzed egg needs to happen. Once it has happened it takes about a week for you to have enough hormone to register as "pregnant". Implantation usually happens a full week after sex but can happen as early as 4 days and as late as 16. Not your baby.

I have united healthcare, and I had a prenatal profile done (where they take blood), HIV & Thyroid were included in that, and I also had a separate blood test to determine blood type and pregnancy.
I ended up having to pay two co-pays for the appointments and about 40.00 was billed to me for the tests.
Hope this helps!

I know this probably doesn't help because I didn't have insurance, but I went to a local clinic and it only cost me $30.00 to have it done. Good luck!

My HMO doesn't charge anything for lab work, but I have not had a pregnancy test done.
