No, because everyone is responsible for their own actions whether they are drunk or not. If there is a camera filming you, why would you chance saying anything you regret? The tape will always exist!
If you make an off color remark and regret it, are you regretting 1. that you said it because it's not how you truly feel
2. that you truly feel that way and cannot justify your statement 3. that you were caught saying it
4. caught saying it because it's not PC
5. that you are a racist?

Not at all only because the movie makes money everybody try to sue but if the movie was a disaster do u think people will sue too????? Sacha Baron is Jewish and half of the movie he speaks Hebrew-yes Hebrew. He lived in Isarel for a while, his mother is from Israel.

Nope, the whole point of the film was not to make certain individuals feel insignificant or dirty. It was to point out the extreme point of views in the states. You've got a huge cultural mix and people think differently. The Borat film I think showed the true nature of many of those views. I loved it, even though some parts were grotesque. =)

Oh man, it's so stupid ain't it. Sacha being a bloody jew himself, and someone still has to make a fuss. I thought the film was wicked, i couldn't breathe I was laughing so much!!
The sick state of the world today, we all need a laugh every once in a while and there are a shitload worse things to sue for.
People need to lighten up, if u don't like something, don't watch/listen....
And like you said, I didn't see a gun to their heads either !!

Don't worry about suing, tell everyone to stay outside of their houses all day Saturday and make as much noise as possible, and get some speakers and your ipod or laptop or whatever and play music really loud, make sure to scream heaps and interrupt filming as often as you want. HAVE FUN.

Nope... the idiots signed waivers. Their statements are legally the property of the producers.
This is the kind of lawsuit that disgusts me... if you're STUPID, why should someone else pay for your stupidity.
I WISH California had a few strong judges... I'd LOVE to see the judge toss this out of court, and fine the two students for their idiocy.

Yes, and not just for the racist remarks, half the decent people I know would do anything you told them after a few drinks, I think it was a dirty way to make a film and a lot of people got hurt by it, making fun of peoples ignorance and naivety is not correct

crap no, you dont get to make racist remarks and then sue because it's now public knowledge, if you dont want to come across as being racist, dont make racist remarks, simple as that. this litigation and compo culture of modern life is sickening.
