Call your ISP (internet service provider) and aske if there's a DSL connection available in your area. DSL is cheaper than cable (cable rates can be the same as DSL, but after 6 months it will go way up, however DSL rates can be re-established to the current discount rate at the end of every 6 mo. you just have to stay on top of the market). also, people will tell you that cable is faster but if you check your internet connection speed you will see that DSL can actually exceed cable speed especially in heavily populated areas. (Note: your internet speed from dial up is usualy around 4 KPS where DSL and cable is at several gig per second.

If you say YOUR video keeps skipping then are you playing DVDs on your PC. If so then the answer about a better Graphics Card. More Ram, faster processor are all valid. If you meen you are viewing streaming video( from a website) then there is very little you can do to improve your connection speed. Onspeed is a programe you can subscibe to which is supposed to improve downloads, gets good reviews in the PC mags, but I have never tried it. Make sure your PC is running well and if you get choice of feed speed then choose a slower speed and it will save more in the buffer.

Alternatively, some sites allow you to save the clip to your PC, right click on the link, choose save target as, and save to your desktop and play it from there.

The only way to fix this problem is to either get a better ISP connection or get a better video card.

the connection speed it set, to the incoming transmissions received from the signal the computers uses to run, only the signal it receives is the signal it sends.
