Depends at what point inside your body. Blood that has been delivered to the body, and on its way back to the heart is a deep purple color. Blood that has been delivered to the lungs, and on its way from the heart t the rest of the body, is a cherry red color.

The blood that you see when you cut yourself is usually deoxygenated blood, on its way back to the heart. When it mixes with the oxygen in the atmoshpere it takes on the cherry red color that we normally see.
