my so called friend?

yesterday I was on the phone with my guy friend and he was putting down this guy that I like. Of course the guy I like is a loser according to a lot of people and I can clearly see that.My other girl friend told me I could do better and named off this cute guy and said I could totally get him. It made me feel good, but when I told my guy friend this he said something like "oh she just said that to make you feel better." It made me mad. He always says things to make me feel as if he thinks that I can't get a decent guy. If I mention a guy sometimes he'll say somethin like "any girl can get a guy because they have vaginas." It's seems as if he thinks no guy would ever want me besides just for a one night stand.Or at least he tries to make me feel this way. Why does he do this to me? I've always been a good friend to him and we've never got in any fights. He's been this way from the start.

well he has said stuff to make me think that.
I mentioned his brother being fine and he replied "of course you'd like him he's an a$$" Then he said "what am I chop liver" and then he kept on telling me his brother was a jacka$$ and so on, but I honestly think he's stringing me along for some reason.

But I don't see why he'd wanna be a jerk to me. We get along real good and talk on the phone for an hour or even 2 everytime.

sounds like he is jealous... He may like you in that way and just can't tell you.... Or he is just a jerk,, putting you down an making you feel bad.... I would cinfront him an see what his problem is and if he says nothing then tell him how you feel and keep him as a social friend and nothing more... Because if he was your friend he wouldn;'t disprespect you...

Here's a clue: He likes you!!! He probably doesn't know how to tell you. Ask him and see his reaction.
