The first three answerers are idiots - first, I'm not liberal. Second, while I am no Clinton fan, he was a Democrat and the debt increased $1.5 trillion under him. In 6 six, the debt under Bush has increased $3 trillion.

Neo-conservatives love a massive government. They believe the bigger they can make the governement the more power they will have. They disregard the example of the Soviet Union where huge govt failed. In fact, Conservatives, evidence by the last excess spending of the Congress, want to spend way more $ than we have regardless of the damage to our freedoms and future peace of mind. But their exultation of Abramoff and Foley demonstrated that they have no morals and care for no-one but themsleves and getting re-elected. Conservatives are the enemy of freedom and democracy.

Let me see , Republicans see the benefit of a partial privatized social security system (which means our families and we get to keep our money) the Democrats are vigorously against it (If there is any privatization,they can't take the money... Sounds like Cons. are for us keeping what we put in) of course it doesn't stop our political leaders from benefiting because they have partial privatized social security. Second , the Democrats want to start a socialized med. program in this country.Which by the way IS Not free in the countries that follow the "free" med. problems. In fact those that can afford it are going for private insurance because a lot of treatment is not covered. The Democrats want to remove the tax breaks that have been given us... The republicans want to keep them.. The Republicans want to get rid of the inheritance tax..Dem's fought it..
Lets see , Dem's want to control our medical , our social security , our religious freedom , our right to bare arms , our right not to be taxed twice , they want to keep the IRS , they want union control of business , they want to end the American dream by attacking capitalism ... and on and on.... Now who is fighting for governmental control over all aspects of our lives?? the Democrats not the Republicans.....
